Careers with D.F.E. Auto Repair

We are on the hunt for experienced automotive technicians who take pride in their work and want to be part of a shop where quality matters. We’re a rapidly growing independent repair shop with a steadily increasing workload. We are searching for a skilled technician who can jump in, work independently, and confidently handle a wide variety of vehicles and repairs.

What We’re Looking For in a Technician

  • Ability to confidently diagnose and repair drivability and electrical issues without supervision

  • Experience with and knowledge of Domestic, Foreign, and European vehicle platforms

  • Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brake systems, heating and cooling systems, and general maintenance

  • Hands on experience with both automatic and manual transmission repair

  • Ability to research and troubleshoot unfamiliar problems rather than relying solely on parts replacement

  • Proficiency with professional diagnostic scan tools and software for troubleshooting complex vehicle issues

  • Experience diagnosing electrical problems including wiring, voltage drops, parasitic draws, direct shorts, and communication issues

  • Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and diagnostic procedures

  • Valid drivers license and a clean record (must be insurable to test drive customer vehicles)

Why Choose Us?

We take pride in the quality of our work and in the vehicles that leave our shop. Most importantly, we take pride in the people who make that possible. We’re a small team with decades of combined experience, and we believe the best way to grow is by learning from one another. Every day brings something different from daily drivers and luxury vehicles to highly modified builds. No two days are exactly the same. When you join our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work along side experienced technicians, tackle a wide variety of vehicles and repairs, and continue building your skills in a hands on environment. We encourage our team to ask questions, share knowledge, and help each other become better technicians every day. If you’re looking for a shop where you can learn, grow, work on interesting vehicles, and be part of a team that takes pride in what it does, we’d love to have you.

The Right Fit

We are busy, and we’re looking for someone who is ready to work hard. This position is best suited for someone who already has a strong foundation in automotive repair and has the ability to work independently. That means a technician who can diagnose and repair without someone looking over their shoulder. If you’re still developing your basic diagnostic and repair skills, this may not be the right position. We are looking for someone who can contribute to the team from day one.
